If you’re an agency, you’ll have to take a few extra steps to add certain YouTube channels to ThumbnailTest. This is because of how YouTube third-party access works - just because you’re a manager on a channel, doesn’t mean you’re able to login with that channel.

To add a channel normally:

  1. Sign in to ThumbnailTest: https://app.thumbnailtest.com/

  2. Click on the dropdown icon on the top left of the account profile and choose Team Settings from the options.

  • Towards the bottom of the page, click Connect More Channels button

  • Click the email associated with the YouTube channel you want to connect

  • Click the YouTube channel you want to connect

  • If you don’t see the channel, you need to use the next set of instructions to add the channel

To add a channel you can’t login as:

  1. Sign in to ThumbnailTest: https://app.thumbnailtest.com/

  2. Click Settings > Team Settings

3. Towards the top of the page, Check this box to mark your team as an agency

4. Towards the middle Right of the page, click “Invite Member

5. Generate invite link

  • Select the appropriate role, since they'll be temporary the "Member" role should work. They won't need any access to channels unless you'd like them to view the results of tests.

  • Then click "Generate One Time Link"

6. Click “Copy Link

7. Send this link to the original owner of the channel (Your Client)

8. Have the Client sign in to ThumbnailTest as the desired channel

9. Make sure the Client is on your team in the Team Member section

10. Have Client go to Team Settings

11. Have Client Click Connect More Channels

12. Have Client Click the email associated with the YouTube channel they want to connect

13. Have Client Click the YouTube channel they want to connect

14. If Client doesn’t see the channel, they need to make sure they’re logged in as the right account
